Who We Are
Interact is the high school chapter of Rotary International and one of the largest community service clubs at MSJ. Students can earn service learning hours, meet new people, develop leadership skills, and personal integrity. MSJ Interact falls under District 5170, the largest and most successful district internationally, which takes on International Projects such as Se Necesita Un Pueblo, The Right to Thrive, End Polio Now, and ShelterBox to help raise awareness and funds for those in need. Community service events include volunteering at the SF Aids Walk, Christmas in the Park, Tri-City Shelter, etc. We aspire to inspire the uninspired and embody our motto, “Service Above Self”.
Past International Projects
At each Fall Leadership Conference, the International Project is released for the Interact year. This project is a non-profit organization that the district aids through fundraisers and other events. Projects in the past have been: The Answer is the Sun, Hydraid, ShelterBox, End Polio Now, and more.
Past Community Projects
At FLC, the community project for the year is also released. The community project focuses on a service project that Interactors continue to volunteer for throughout the year. Past community projects include: Go Green, Save Our Schools, Hunger Relief, Future in Focus, and more.
